Intervention by Design was founded on a simple belief: every student deserves high-quality instruction, and every educator deserves practical, effective resources that make teaching easier and learning more meaningful.

After more than 25 years in education—as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, assistant principal, and federal programs director—I have seen firsthand the difference that well-designed instructional materials can make.

Every lesson, activity, and resource is created with the classroom in mind. They are standards-aligned, easy to implement, and designed to build student confidence while saving valuable planning time for educators.

Whether you teach in a public school, private school, homeschool, church classroom, or small-group intervention setting, my goal is to provide resources that help every learner experience success.

At Intervention by Design, education is more than a profession—it is a calling. My desire is to create materials that inspire curiosity, strengthen understanding, and encourage a lifelong love of learning.

Meet Cindy

Hi! I'm Cindy Cooley.

Education has been the focus of my professional life for more than two decades. Throughout my career, I have served as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, assistant principal, and federal programs director, always with one purpose: helping students reach their full potential.

My passion is creating classroom-ready resources that combine research-based instructional practices with practical strategies teachers can immediately use.

Outside of education, my husband and I enjoy life on our Mississippi cattle farm, where faith, family, and community continue to shape the work I do. I also enjoy serving in my local church, where I teach Bible lessons and participate in community outreach ministries.
